Andrea
Great to hear from you... it has definitely been too long!
I do remember that first drive in the wheelchair. I was so excited about getting up and about again, but scared witless of your driving skills (if I remember correctly, you had to steer for me until I got the hang of things)!
That wheelchair was a real heap, or at least it was by the time I had finished with it.
I hope you are well, and are enjoying your job more now...?
Matt x

Hi matt
Andrea here - OT from Stoke... I have just been looking at your website and catching up on all you have been doing. Jut wanted to say i think you are amazing and a real inspiration to others.. i remember giving you your first 'driving lesson' in the powered wheelchair in stoke - imagine completing a marathon in that chair!!!

Some people have been asking me how you are actually going about doing the marathon considering the situation.

I myself do not have a clue, but you mention your neck and chin cramping up, so im assuming you use the muscles or whatever there too move? *confused*

I've just been watching the Great North Run whilst ploughing through my ironing, I was incredibly impressed by your strength of character and how well you have coped with the aftermath of your accident. Your parents must be incredibly proud of you and you are a credit to them. I have been so inspired that have persuaded my brother in law that we should enter the Great North Run next year. I hope you have a great time at University, you've acheived something that a lot of able bodied people would not achieve.
